The inventor helped pioneer the first Mobile Desk™ in 1984.

We discovered the need for - "Accessories for Mobile People" - while automating one of the first sales force automation projects in the mid-1980's. a2z's product offerings were created around the needs of our customers.

We listened then, provided exceptional customer service, and we continue too today!

Taking from the experience of the original laptop mounting desk, a2z is proud to present the result - the Epitome mobile desk family.

Epitome Plus™ Motorcoach Desk

Mounted in an Alfa - the Epitome Plus swings to the driver and/or passenger. Horizontal telescoping brings the desktop toward you when you need to read (or hear) your global positioning software. Adjustable enough to not get in the way of your gauges and rear view video monitor.

Vertical telescoping lets you adjust the desktop high enough to clear your dashboard.

The unique Accessory Clamp will hold a cellphone and PDA. Additional mounts available for use in other parts of your home.


There are mobile desk platforms and then there is the Epitome Plus. Precision machined to deliver the ultimate in strength and stability, this is the desk platform motorcoach owners have been asking for.


What makes the Epitome Plus special? The tubing is manufactured of .059 thick-wall aircraft aluminum. Expensive, but stronger than equal walled steel - yet light and attractive, yielding the most stable portable desktop available. Stable enough for playing a DVD ROM without skipping - though we certainly Do Not ever recommend that you play or watch a movie while driving! While you will experience some natural 'bounce', rest assured that your hard drive and data are secure.

How does the Epitome Plus attach?

The vertical height adjustable upright is mounted on a cast iron base plate. Both the vertical and horizontal upright sections are telescoping, which allows for positioning your desk closer or further away from the driver or the passenger. Hypothetically, you can rotate your desk 360°, all from a single thumbscrew.


The Epitome Plus is constructed of quality 1" and 1 1/8" aluminum tubing.
The Epitome Plus has a large number of height and rotation adjustments.
The Epitome Plus allows for a comfortable passenger.


Each full version Epitome, Epitome Napoleon and Epitome Plus desktop includes a Bluetooth Wireless, USB, IEEE 1394 Firewire Hub with a 400 Watt Power Inverter providing two (2) AC and three (3) DC Outlets! You get two (2) AC (just like in your house or office) and three (3) DC outlets (like in your vehicle), giving you five (5) powered outlets to plug in your laptop, GPS device, printer, cell-phone and other accessories.

Positioned out of the way (upper left hand corner of the desktop), the inverter has an On / Off switch with LED's.

Built-in surge and spike control protect your electronic equipment always - especially during engine start-up and shut-down. Automatic power down if your battery reaches a level that might leave you stranded.

Each Epitome ships with a Display Holder that helps stabilize your laptop's display (lid) during heavy events of acceleration and/or braking! Strong enough to stabilize, but will collapse when necessary. Saves on wear and tear on your laptops hinges.

The Epitome Plus is ideal for use with laptop computers, writing pads, GPS, video cameras, etc.

The Epitome Plus can operate in of any type of large vehicle, naval vessel or aircraft.

The Epitome Plus is constructed of quality aircraft aluminum tubing with support mechanisms.

The Epitome Plus has thousands of height and rotation adjustments.


The Desktop is made of 3/16th, Black ABS Haircell, for strength, style and durability.

Each Epitome Plus desktop includes the LocDown™ laptop securing system and nylon safety strap. The LocDown™ is comprised of two rubberized "L" shaped brackets that are controlled by thumbscrews underneath the desktop. The tall part of the capital "L faces the front of the desktop and the laptop is positioned in between the desktop front lip and the LocDown's™.

For total desktop control of angels and slants, there is a ball-joint device installed between the top upright and the actual desk, meaning that total adjustment is controlled by one thumbscrew! We have added two adjustment slots on each side of the desktop, to allow you to move your laptop for access to the computer ports in the rear .

The On/Off switch for the 110W power source is conveniently located in the upper left hand corner of the desktop. Green and Red LED's indicate when the Power-Port is live!

Epitome Plus Adjustments

Heavy-duty spring acting Snap-Buttons give the upright sections horizontal and rotational stability. Both the upper and lower sections of the Epitome have separate controls - allowing you to adjust either upright tube height according to your particular needs.

 Vertical & Horizontal Positioning

For added stability, we added Nylon B-Clamps. The tension is controlled by a single thumb-screw. The B-Clamps act as a 'cuff' or 'girdle' and stabilizes where the 1" tube inserts into the 1-1/8" tube.
